The Colosseum is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, just east of the Roman Forum. It is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built, and is still the largest standing amphitheatre in the world, despite its age. There are about 200 olive trees in the Archaeological Park of the Colosseums. They are descendents of both centuries-old specimens found near the Arch of Titus to recently planted ones, but all perfectly integrated into a landscape where olive trees have been part since ancient times.
