As an artist and a traveler I am always exploring and learning new things. My paintings reflect my experience. I am drawn to the outdoors and nature. Most of my inspiration comes from various trips I have taken. I'll stop and pull out a sketchbook or snap a photo, then paint the scene back in my studio. My goal is to see, feel and paint the world.
I loved drawing as a child and have always been creative, but I only began painting seriously year 2006 after watching a friend painting beautiful landscape and seascape scenes. I decided then and there I wanted to paint, and set out to reproduce images of my latest passion: nature and travel scenes.
For almost five years I taught myself to paint simply by painting, reading about art, and looking at other artists work through videos. I have now developed my own unique style and each steps of the journey was worth the challenge.
My renewed love of nature and landscape painting led me on many travel adventures throughout the world in search of inspiration. Though my paintings continue to evolve, there remain threads of continuity, such as my love of color and my desire to create strong and dynamic compositions. I also changed my technique from oils, pastel oil to acrylics now..
I’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people through my art and I feel very happy when I send my painting to someone I don’t know, and then hear about them telling me they are very excited and pleased with their new painting. "That just makes my day!"
I have had solo shows and participated in group exhibitions as well.
I am honored and proud to be represented online by the Perez Fine Art Galleries, as one of their contemporary artist.
Thanks to all the people that have believed in my work and have acquired one or more of my nature and travel pieces. It has been a great honor and I hope to do it for many more years.
